We are so excited to announce we will be participating in this year's Brooklyn Yarn Crawl! 

The Brooklyn Yarn Crawl is an annual spring extravaganza where knitters, crocheters, spinners, dyers and fiber craft lovers of all kinds visit Brooklyn's finest local yarn shops to celebrate our community and love of fiber arts.  Crawlers visit a wonderful variety of neighborhoods across Brooklyn, and with shops ranging from tiny jewels to needlework meccas, and there are new discoveries at every turn. This year's theme is: Vintage Picnic!

To celebrate this super fun weekend, we've got some exciting stuff planned:

• Saturday and Sunday, yarn is 10% off! In-store only!
• Everyone who signs into the Yarn Crawl at our shop will have a chance to spin our prize wheel!
• We will be hosting a super fun Drop-in Workshop:

DIY BASKET WEAVING! DROP-IN WORKSHOP

Join us on Saturday 4/26 for some vintage picnic-themed crafting!

Using natural rattan reeds, weave yourself an adorable mini picnic basket.

We will show you the basics of starting and finishing a basket weaving project in this quick workshop. Once complete, choose from a selection of ribbon and fabric to help give your picnic basket a personal touch!

This workshop is a drop-in, make-and-take format. No advance registration required, however supplies are first come, first served. We strongly recommend reserving a time slot and supply bundle in advance! 

Drop in on Saturday 4/26 between:

11:30am-2:30pm

3:30pm-6:30pm 

Materials Fee: Just $12!

**To reserve your spot and guarantee supplies will be available, please reserve a 1-hour time slot here.** The process will only take about 20-30 minutes (some folks will move even faster!), but please plan for extra wait times of about 10-15 minutes, just in case!

 Pre-Crawl Picnic Party!

We will be having a BYO Picnic at Pier 6, Brooklyn Bridge Park! Bring your blankets, your snacks and your projects and join us for a kick off event for what is sure to be an awesome weekend!

We will be meeting Friday, April 25th from 6-8pm at the end of Pier 6 where there is a grassy meadow and some picnic tables. In case of rain, we will meet the following week for a Crawl Round Up Party!

Collect our hand-dyed yarn made specially for this year's yarn crawl!

Named for our theme "Vintage Picnic" this yarn is a sport weight Peruvian highland wool. Each shop will have one of the five main colors in this lineup in a generous 100 gram skein, plus additional 50 gram skeins of both of the "pop" colors.

This yarn will ONLY be available during the yarn crawl on April 26 & 27. Last year our special yarn sold out at most of the shops before the end of the crawl, so we encourage you to shop early to snag each color.

Most shops are designing patterns that use all 7 of the colors, which will be free with purchase of the yarn at each shop during the crawl!

AND if you sign in at all the shops on the crawl you will get entered to win a full set of this yarn in our 2025 tote bag!

Our shop color is "Touch Grass" shown below, with both color pops: "Cupcake" and "Carrot Cake!"

Each shop will also have a limited quantity of Brooklyn Yarn Crawl 2025 totes-- super roomy for collecting allof your goodies along the way!

Each store will have drawings for prizes from our generous sponsors. To enter the drawings, simply sign in at each shop (they'll each have a digital or paper sign in sheet). Drawings happen a few days after the crawl.
