Did you know you can construct a hardcover book with your own two hands? Yes, YOU!
In just one afternoon, you'll learn how to:
- Understand basic bookbinding terminology and techniques
- Expertly sew together gathered sections of pages
- Make a hard cover, back and spine for your book
- Turn your favorite cotton fabric into functional, easy to use book cloth, which you'll use to adorn your DIY book cover
- Bring it all together to create one amazing DIY journal, sketchbook, scrapbook-- whatever you want it to be!
No experience or prior knowledge of bookbinding is necessary to take this class! We'll teach you everything you need to know from start to finish to take home your own DIY Hardcover Book-- and the skills to make more books on your own. If you've taken Bookbinding 101 with us before-- great! You'll have a big picture understanding of how books come together, though we'll tackle this project from a different angle, utilizing a completely different binding technique. This is a great class for those looking to expand their bookbinding knowledge or for complete beginners alike!
