Notes about waxed canvas:

Waxed canvas is know for the creases and scratches that give it character, which easily occur with any abrasion or folding.  Many people love the way it looks and how the fabric ages, but it you prefer a smooth, uniform surface before you sew, there are ways to make that happen!

• A warm hair dryer will remove small scratches and scuffs
• To press out folds or deeper wrinkles, use a dry iron (no steam!) on medium heat with a press cloth or piece of kraft paper, evenly pressing the entire surface. Do not press your iron directly onto the wax.
• For a more hands-off method, try hanging it in a warm place or laying it out in the sun!

Pin marks will show on waxed canvas. Try Wonder Clips instead!

Do not use hot water, washing machine, soap, or dry cleaning to clean waxed canvas. 

Spot clean with a sponge and cold water (no soap) and let air dry.
