WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Learn to crochet a top! If you're a confident beginner who has mastered crochet basics and are looking to tackle larger projects, this workshop is for you! This top is completely custom-- You will decide on your exact sizing and length. The finished product could be anyhing from a crop top, to a longer beach cover-up!
In this 2-part workshop, we'll work through how to crochet a mesh top from start to finish. You will learn how to:
- Determine custom sizing and length for your project -- Anything from a crop to swim coverup works, but do keep the timeline in mind if you're thinking of a longer garment!
- Chain spaces to create an open mesh stitch
- Add shoulder straps
- Join crochet panels
- Add a double crochet border
This is 2-part workshop taking place on the following dates:
Saturday June 15 at 11am-2pm
Saturday June 29 at 11am-2pm
**There will be crochet homework between each session!**
Materials and Tools Required:
- 2-7 balls of Shiny Happy Cotton depending on your size and desired length. For reference, the pink top shown in the photo (Made for a 42-inch bust with a t-shirt length) required 2 balls of Shiny Happy Cotton. See photos above for an approximate size chart. Since you each will be making a custom piece, the # of balls needed is an estimate. If you are between sizes, err on the side of caution and round up! We are happy to accept returns for unused yarn within 14 days.
Yarn & hooks are available for purchase at our shop in advance and on the day of class at a 10% discount! You will receive an email with your discount code within 24 hours of registering.
