WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Come learn how to make your very own hand-bound, softcover faux leather journal!
In this class, we’ll tackle long-stitch bookbinding, a method that has been used as far back as the 18th century. In just two hours, we’ll cover basic bookbinding techniques and terminology, from sizing and folding paper to the final assembly process and everything in-between.
Take your pick of a variety of faux leathers in fun colors (don’t worry, we’ll have neutrals, too), as well as rainbow of binding thread.
No experience or prior knowledge of bookbinding is necessary to take this class. We’ll teach you everything you need to know from start to finish to take home one 6″x9″ DIY softcover journal (complete with a fold-over closure and optional pencil holder)– and the skills to make more books on your own.
