Registration includes five cat-tastic DIYs! You’ll be in total cat lady nirvana as you mingle about and visit our killer cat-craft stations, including:

Painted Cat Figurines
Every cat lady loves a good cat figurine, and this is your chance to DIY your own! Paint your plaster cat in the likeness of your dream feline, using acrylic paints. Led by Brooklyn-based artist Christina Batch-Lee.

Wire-Wrapped Cat Rings
Deck out your digits with catlady pride! Learn to make your own wire-wrapped rings in snazzy cat shapes. You’ll love this easy, approachable technique and once you know how to do it, you can create tons more rings in any style you choose. Led by Lindsey Ibarra, and author of the book Super Simple Jewelry.

Leather Cat Change Purse
Learn leather crafting basics as you cut and stitch a simple leather change purse, complete with a cat face and ears. Led by our sewing guru and devoted catlady, Nikki Smith.

Embellished Cat Totes
Leave with your very own purrrsonalized canvas Brooklyn Craft Company tote, decked out with as many cat faces as you can iron onto it!

Needle Felted Cat WITH YOUR CAT’S OWN FUR (!!!)
The ultimate cat lady DIY: craft with your cat’s fur! (We may as well put it to good use, right?) In this project, you’ll learn needle felting basics as you transform raw wool fibers (provided by us) into a miniature replica of your kitty. The icing on the top: you can embellish your felt kitty with bits of your own cat’s fur! Bring a little bit of your kitty’s fur, and your instructor will help you incorporate it into your piece. A-meow-zing! (Cat fur is optional; you can make this project using only the provided wool if you prefer!) Project led by NYC-based needle felter Frannie Laks. Big thanks to Quirk Publishing and the book Crafting With Cat Hair for inspiring this project!

Decorate your sassy catlady bod with a bevy of cattoos — cat tattoos, of course — at our cat tattoo bar! With special thanks to Chronicle Books for furnishing this station. Purchase your own set of cattoos here!

And what would Catlady Craft Night be without some real cats in the house?! We are so excited to partner with Brooklyn Animal Action, an all-volunteer, no-kill group that believes in working together to help animals through rescue, adoption, TNR programs, and community outreach — to bring authentic cat snuggles to Catlady Craft Night!

During the event, Brooklyn Animal Action will host a pop-up cat lounge, where YOU will be surrounded with snuggly, purring kitties! Hug them, pet them, love them up and down–they just want to meet and greet. All cats will be available for adoption, so if you find a love match, you can apply to adopt a fur-ever friend.

To give back to in-need cats in NYC, we’ll also be raising funds to benefit Brooklyn Animal Action. $5 from each registration will be donated to BAA. In addition, Catlady Craft Night will include a raffle in-event to benefit BAA. (Raffle prizes will be posted on this page soon.) Raffle tickets will be available for purchase during Catlady Craft Night, and 100% of raffle proceeds will benefit Brooklyn Animal Action. Winners will be chosen at the end of the event.
